The leather arrives raw from the best farms in France, and the tannins of vegetable origin used, also of the highest quality, come from Argentina and other parts of South America.Continuous research and expertise acquired over time guarantee leather of great value, prized by the most famous fashion brands in Italy and worldwide.

Vegetable tanning is an artisanal production process for leather, passed down by medieval tanners from generation to generation.This precious artisanal tradition of the master Tuscan tanneries is now a combination of ancient recipes and advanced technology.

Vegetable-tanned leathers express the art, knowledge, skill and expertise that the craftsmen pass on from generation to generation. They are processed in wooden drums and air-dried.

It is a process based on the “slow passing of time” and the “correct drying of the leather”.Thanks to the combination of these elements, the skins change constantly, absorbing the traces of time, ageing… but are not spoilt.

Vegetable tanned leather changes over time. It is linked to the Tuscan territory, it was born and grown there and its roots lie in its history.

Finished articles are natural products that preserve all the characteristics of the raw material, with the addition of a long resistance to time and weather.

The “vegetable tanning” is the most traditional and recognizable; the only one capable of imparting to the leather unmistakable properties, versatility of use and uniqueness of the product.

The skins arrive at the MPG tannery fresh and salted.After a first selection, they are stored in special warehouses.

Before arriving at the actual tanning process, the hides that have passed the first selection are subjected to various processes that prepare themto absorb the right amount of tannins.
